what is this website?

a place for me to provide further details about my shared projects.

what type of projects?

typically video-game based ones.

i often share footage of retro (nes-style) video-games i've programmed, or upload heavily edited 'montage' videos of my video-game highlights.

sometimes i create projects outside of those two, but most of my creations always relate to programming or video editing.

is this a forum?

who are you?

i don't really know. i seem to hop aliases right as the former starts gaining traction...

but for my 'skillset':
i'm great at video editing, programming, and at certain video games.
i'm good at writing, image editing, and generally at mathematics / technology.
i'm okay at drawing, animation, and photography.
i'm bad at everything else. (at present, the last thing i wish to learn is chiptune music making.)

"hitori-yō" means "for one player" - typically stated on physical japanese video-game media.

i enjoy remaining anonymous. i won't be discussing my personal life here, nor my online history.

i have many projects i need to update to this new alias - but i'm having more fun working on new things instead. (such as this website.)

i also want every featured retro game of mine to be fully playable with a nes controller, so about half of them are excluded by default.

this website's design sure looks familiar...

i think it's a very pretty design. i immediately wanted to replicate it for fun, then thought 'why not use that for a new personal website'.

but to be clear: this website is entirely hand-written in my own html and css code. (feel free to compare them if you'd like.)

do you use ai?

no. i am self-taught in both programming and video editing, and have been doing both for well over 10 years.
i have no interest in replacing my skillset with ai. (my hobbies don't have any deadlines to meet.)
